5 alternative ways to make your lips look fuller – Kylie Jenner Challenge

The idea of putting a glass object over your lips to create an airlock on the skin around your mouth and apply suction for up to five minutes is not just gross but also quite risky, to put it mildly.

But hey, welcome to the #KylieJennerChallenge !

Surely there are better ways to make your lips look fuller? Indeed, there are! We have compiled a few hot tips for hot lips that you could try out:

Use exfoliator. This helps in removing dead skin along with increase in circulation which makes your lips naturally plump. Alternatively, you can also use a soft bristle tooth brush.

Apply gloss or a shiny finish lipstick over your matte lipstick. Lip products that reflect light make your lips seem bigger.

Draw them out. Use a lipliner to draw your lips a little bigger than they actually are in order to create a fuller effect. When choosing lipliner, make sure it is one shade(not two) darker than your lipstick to make this work.

Use a lip plumper. A lot of cosmetics brands have glosses with added plumpers and this stuff genuinely works. It won’t create a whole lot of difference, but it will have to do.

Avoid dark colors. Darker hues have the tendency to make the lip surface seem thinner, hence choose light to medium shades of lipsticks or lip glosses if you want to avoid your puckers from disappearing.

So go get those puckers, girls!

Remember that not all trends need to be tried out.

“Like all magic tricks you need the illusion for the trick to work but I can say that…less is more and more is less, more or less.” – Rob Scheppy, Kylie Jenner’s Makeup Artist
