Is Nordic beauty the new Korean beauty?

For beauty addicts, the past year was all about learning the benefits of sheet masques and oil pulling – but there may be a new beauty trend that gives glass skin a run for its money. The laid back purity of  Nordic natural beauty is what we are talking about. True, it mostly comes from their happy attitude, healthy diets and active life styles. Others say they are naturally resilient because their bodies have had to adjust to the cold, harsh climates of Nordic countries for hundreds of years. Though all this may be true, it does not help the rest of us who simply aspire towards their radiant skin, healthy hair, and natural makeup. Here are a few tips Scandinavian products that may help the rest of us out.

Pure Arctic Miracle 3-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water. A combo of birch juice and cloudberry fruit water, which is indigenous to Nordic countries, the water gently cleanses the skin. You don’t have to rinse it off, so it makes for a great on-the-go cleanser that leaves your skin completely hydrated.

Super Facial Serum of Stockholm, Sweden is respected and well known for its straight forward approach to healthy, beautiful skin. Verso is famous for their patented Retinol 8 formula, which is eight times more effective than retinol.

Keep your manicure playful. Scandinavians are notoriously known for skipping make up. But by painting each nail in different colour or variety of shades, it is easy to add charm and a bit personality to the otherwise clean look.
Kjaer Weiss is a well-known and highly admired brand that offers some of the best blushes and foundations there are. Dab their blush in ‘Joyful’ onto cheeks and lips for a fresh, yet easy-going look.
