I’ve been wearing headbands since the 90s! Yep, you read that right – WAY before Blair Waldorf made this a thing, it already was one for my generation. And an effortless way to make any look stylish without even trying to – for us, back then, it was just a means to keep our hair out of our faces. We also actually had beautiful ones back then too!

One trend I didn’t like then, or now – is the padded headband. Now what is it, you may ask? Here’s an example of a regular one vs the one this entire feature is based on:

We tend to often buy into fads and not think ‘will we regret this decision looking back?’ – But now we live in the generation who commonly hashtags #FeltCuteMightDeleteLater – even then, I just don’t see the cuteness behind this!

From Prada & Chanel’s 2019 shows sporting these, we have seen these flock down to ASOS, to our very own influencers in Karachi and, gasp! on the Duchess of Cambridge herself, Kate Middleton!

Now an editor in Elle wrote she felt like a regal widow after trying them on. I personally, just thing it adds extra height where that height is just not needed! It looks to me, like an unrealistic growth with an odd look.

Is Edition going to sit this fad out? Yes, unflinchingly so.
