Monday 19th July
At 4:30 pm, Noor Mukkadam jumps from the upper floor of the Jaffer residence to escape from Zahir Jaffer who is holding her hostage.
The household staff see this. Zahir drags her back inside the house.
At 7 pm, Zahir's family calls Therapy Works - the organization where Zahir practiced as a therapist.
At 7:30 pm, a team from Therapy Works arrives and sees the decapitated body of Noor Mukkadam.
Zahir Jaffer attacks the Therapy Works team with a knife, seriously injuring some of them. They manage to restrain him and call the police.

Police receives phone call about the crime at a location in F7/4, Islamabad.
Police arrives to find the decapitated body of Noor Mukaddam at the home of Zahir Jaffer. It is ascertained that she was tortured, shot and then decapitated.
At 10 pm, the police calls Noor's father, Shaukat Ali Mukkadam, informing him of his daughter's murder

In the FIR filed late on Tuesday 20th June, Shaukat Ali Mukadam shared the following details:
He had gone to Rawalpindi on July 19 to buy a goat for Eid ul Aza, while his wife had gone out to pick up clothes from her tailor. When he returned home in the evening, the couple found their daughter Noor absent from their house in Islamabad.
Her cell phone number was switched off. The family then started a search. Sometime later, the victim called her parents to inform them that she was travelling to Lahore with some friends and would return “in a day or two”, according to the FIR.
In his complaint, Shaukat Mukadam stated that he had gone to Rawalpindi on July 19 to buy a goat for Eid Al Adha, while his wife had gone out to pick up clothes from her tailor. When he returned home in the evening, the couple found their daughter Noor absent from their house in Islamabad.
Zahir Jaffer is taken into custody by the police.
Details reveal that Zahir is an American citizen, who was meant to fly out the next day. There is also indication that he was deported from the UK for rape and assault charges.
Police arrest the parents of Zahir Jaffer - Adamjee (a prominent therapist in Islamabad) and Zakir Jaffer (a leading businessman). The two servants at home during the crime are also arrested.
