Pantene HUM Showcase kicked off with a strong start as established, debutant and even forgotten designers showcased their collections on day one. The night started with Zaheer Abbas, followed by 9Lines, Emraan Rajput, Zonia Anwaar, Image, Deepak & Fahad, with Sublime by Sara as the finale.

Zaheer Abbas- Conceptuellè

With ‘Conceptuellè’ Zaheer Abbas went back to his greatest strength, which has always been in drapery and construction. Presented on a solid colour palette, this was resort wear of the best kind.

Highs: The pleating and drapery was on point, as were the experimental, breezy silhouettes. The massive hats added the right oomph!
Lows: We’ll get back to you on that one…

Nine Lines- Pop Kitschry

A loud and crazy runway debut to put this brand on the map! Loud prints, neon colours and lots of drama. We’re sold!

Highs: The quirky prints and popping colours were great on their own, and also styled with the right spunk
Lows: Translating this from runway to retail can be a task, since the fun silhouettes are what made them extra cool!

Emraan Rajput- The Marquis

Sleek white jackets, pants, and blazers for a clean white menswear collection.

Highs: With metallic touches and textured details, each piece was unique while being wearable
Lows: It lacked the immaculate tailoring one associates with the Emraan Rajput brand

Zonia Anwaar- Reverdie

Floral summer jackets, tunics and separates in pretty blues, pinks and greens made this one of Zonia’s more memorable collections.

Highs: The feminine prints and colour palette did paint a pretty picture
Lows: The silhouettes were quite done with

Image Fabrics- The Return

Classic whites, chikankari and traditional silhouettes came together for a collection that would be just right for Eid!

Highs: Pretty chikankari that can be worn as formals and casuals
Lows: Fashion forward? Not really.

Deepak & Fahad- Markhor

Highlighting endangered species, the collection featured some statement pieces as well as quirky prints.

Highs: The prints stood out in a world of florals , showing why it’s important to be avant garde!
Lows: We need to see this translated into retail options!

Sublime by Sara Shahid- The Sublime Sunset

Fluid silhouettes in the sunny hues of a sunset, Sara Shahid brought out a fuss free collection showing another way to do no print and no embroidery!

Highs: Any collection that banks on going print free with such confidence gets special marks from us
Lows: The colour palette resulted in a kind of monotonous feel to the show
