We always look at the girl on the runway and wonder who they are, and then we see them in editorials and maybe slipping into Xanders for a quick coffee to go! Now you can know more about one of the beauties.

We spoke with Raahima Ali on life as a model and beyond, so you could know her better, too!

How did your journey start in the modelling industry?

Growing up I always got approached for modelling from time to time but I guess I was skeptical as I was living abroad and wasn’t sure if I could give it my 100% while constantly juggling between Pakistan and London. It was until I met Tabish Khoja exactly a year ago and he gave me the push I needed, ever since then Tabish has been my absolute guide in the industry as I didn’t know the first thing about it and I will forever be grateful to him for that.

What were you doing pre modelling days?

I was and still am doing my LLB from the University of London.

Who do you look up to for inspiration in the industry and otherwise?

I try not to look at what anyone else is doing and stay as organic as possible so I find inspiration in everyday changes in myself and evolve through that. For me inspiration should always begin from within, that helps me stay as positive and focused.

If you could shoot for a brand, local and/or international, who would it be and why?

The one local brand that has been my go to all these years is Generation and I would love the opportunity to model for them. Moreover, my one all time favourite international brand that I am literally obsessed with is Sabyasachi of course. Working for Sabyasachi would be a dream job.

What do you you do on your days off?

On my days off I most definitely try out new restaurants as I am a total foodie. Nothing excites me more than food.

Favourite project thus far?

I believe every project has its own element and significance individually. Hence each and every project I’ve done so far holds a special place in my heart.

Tell us something we don't know about you.

I have this uncanny ability to tell a genuine person from an ingenuine person. I thank the higher power every day for this, as it helps keep the negative vibes at bay.

What should we expect next from you?

Honestly I plan on continuing to just do me and become the best version of myself. Take everything as it comes and whatever happens, happens!
