The Most Powerful Man in the Universe’ is back and this time, so is his nemesis.

Yes, we are talking about the majestic teaser trailer of Netflix’s upcoming Masters of the Universe: Revelation series where He-Man will battle with Skeletor, and defend Castle Grayskull as he did back in the 80s.

The teaser trailer that hit the social media on Thursday makes you want to enter He-Man's universe, and help your favorite hero defeat the bad guys. It not only brings back memories for all those who grew up watching the series but also aims to make new fans as well. What makes this teaser trailer worth your time, and why should the series be on your must-watch list, let’s analyze!

The good guys are back after a long time!

Since Prince Adam first held aloft the magic sword and said ‘By the Power of Grayskull’, things haven’t been the same for both He-Man and his fans. After entertaining kids around the world in the 1980s, He-Man tried to make a comeback twice but failed on both occasions. In fact, Dolph Lundgren appeared as He-Man in a live-action flick that went unnoticed because of its deviation from the animated series. What makes this version worth the wait is the fact that it is the direct sequel of the original series, whereas the rest were either reboots, remakes, or both.

You also get to meet your favorite characters after a long time such as Cringer/Battle Cat, Man-At-Arms, Orko, Teela, and above all He-Man to name a few. Yes, the all-powerful Sorceress is there and so are the ones who want to take control of her Castle, including Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Trap Jaw, and others. How will this series proceed and how different it would be from the original Masters of the Universe is something we all should wait for.

An ensemble voice-over cast …

What would you say if I told you that the actor voicing Skeletor is both a Jedi and a DC Comic villain? Or that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is lending her voice for Teela? Or that the actor chosen for Prince Adam/He-Man worked closely with Supergirl recently? Yes, that’s true.

The legendary Mark Hamill will make his Masters of the Universe debut after enthralling the audience as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars and The Joker in Batman Animated Series. He brings that experience, and that evil laugh to Skeletor that was till now only associated with Alan Oppenheimer. Sarah Michelle Gellar is Teela while Chris Wood from Supergirl will be both Prince Adam and He-Man, after he says the magic word that is!

Alicia Silverstone will lend vocals for Queen Marlena while the 91-year old Alan Oppenheimer will voice act Moss-Man, as opposed to his earlier innings as Skeletor. With Kevin Smith at the helm, and toymakers Mattle backing him, the audience is all geared up for the anime adventures of He-Man, and the Masters of the Universe.

I need a hero!

Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero” might not be part of the Masters of the Universe: Revelation but it still fits the bill as a theme song for the teaser trailer. The fans wanted He-Man to make a grand comeback as they needed a hero in their lives who was not an alien, had not lost his parents, was like them before his transformation, and had acquaintances who reminded them of their own friends. With Masters of the Universe: Revelation, they get exactly what they wanted; also the impact of ‘Holding Out for a Hero’ never gets old. It was earlier part of the title track of Cover Up, and used recently in the trailer of Pokemon’s live-action flick. Masters of the Universe not just endorsed the song, it also answered it by returning our hero, to us!
