In this time of social distancing, Team Edition presents the Quarantine Diary! We speak to some of our favourite A listers weekly and give you an update of how they are making it through this time!

This week we spoke to, Anoushey Ashraf:

What is one thing you make sure to do every day?

I meditate every day & I watch a couple of episodes of something or another on Netflix, too. Meditation calms me, and Netflix helps time go by easily.

Have you learnt a new talent or reverted to something you used to do but didn't have time to do which you're loving?

I'm loving my puzzles! I never found time for those and now I do! It teaches me patience. I'm also doodling a little bit - creating some art!

How are you balancing WFH vs being present for family?

What workouts have you been trying out that you would recommend?

I watch Ayesha Omars videos & Nusrat Hidayatullah's but - I don't work out myself! I would prefer to do yoga though.

Favourite song these days?

Selena Gomez's whole album! I really like her. Vulnerable is what I'm listening to a lot!

Your go to snack which you don't feel bad about having daily?

Saltish biscuits and bounty - every day without fail!

Tell us your favourite people to follow for inspiration

I follow a lot of therapists & animal activists like ACF and I watch Ted Talks for inspiration, as well as Ellen!

Give us a tip on how you personally battle anxiety.

I personally battle anxiety with the help of meditation & yoga, deep breaths. And I read up a lot on it. I know I'm not alone and a lot of people suffer from it too, so I read up on it a lot and how people have managed to overcome it which makes me calmer & helps me cope well.

What have you learnt about yourself that you didn't know, in this time of social distancing?

So there's a positive and a negative that I've learnt - We can live the simple life & still be okay! I don't have to shop so much, I don't have to eat out every night and it's okay to be able to lie around and not get out ir see too many people, and there's no pressure to do so. I've learnt that I can live on little money & simple food. The little joys of life! What I don't like is the fact that I can't travel which is making me feel a bit suffocated.

Give us one positive affirmation for today

Staying in today means, we can get out tomorrow. Also staying in in April means, May is ours to travel, work and get into regular routine. So hang in there, practise social distancing & isolation so our tomorrow can be totally worth it!
