The McDonald’s Fashion Crossover No One Saw Coming

McDonald’s Pakistan on a fashion runway was not on our 2026 bingo card, yet somehow, it worked. At IMA 2026, students from Superior University’s School of Art & Design took inspiration from the Golden Arches, iconic products, unmistakable colours and decades of pop culture appeal to create original fashion collections. The result was bold, playful and full of personality, with familiar McDonald’s codes finding a surprisingly natural place in fashion.

The collaboration gave students more than a moment under the runway lights. With the trust and support of McDonald’s Pakistan, they worked on a real industry brief and translated a globally recognised brand through their own creative perspectives. “We are especially proud that our students had the opportunity to conceptualise and create original fashion collections inspired by the brand,” said Saba Hisham, Director of the School of Art & Design at Superior University. She described the project as “an invaluable real world learning experience” that reflected IMA’s purpose of bringing academia and industry closer.
