The Lahore Qalandars sign a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Science and Technology for the future of sports.

The Pakistan Super League franchise, Lahore Qalandars signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Science and Technology to introduce the latest technology in sports. Under the memorandum both parties would work to establish ways to introduce technology for performance and fitness of the players.

The MoU was signed between the Federal Minister of Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudry and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Lahore Qalandars, Atif Rana last week. The aim of the memorandum would be to use smart ball technology, smart cricket bat technology, advanced data analysis program, wearable devices for illegal bowling action and scientifically prepared bowling shoes in Pakistan.

While talking to the media, Rana expressed his enthusiasm for the future of sports in Pakistan. He believed that technology is changing with every passing day and the agreement will enable Lahore Qalandars players with the latest technology to prepare them for the PSL matches. He looks forward to the matches as well as technology driven players for the country in the future.

The memorandum is one of its kind and a way towards a sport technology industry in the country, an aim for Digital Pakistan.
