Gone are the days when you had to search high and low to find a cool pair of fancy flats or heels that wouldn’t cost you an arm and leg. Over the years, multiple local footwear brands have launched and flourished with the help of their unique aesthetic. One no longer has to opt for simple khussas and kolhapurris to complete the Eid look, when a number of brands are offering a contemporary spin on these classic styles.

With Eid being the perfect time to stock up on some traditional footwear, here’s a quick look at some of our favourites:

Chapter 13

Coming into the limelight with their popular Peshawari chappal for women, Chapter 13 is now a consumer favourite with its truckart kolhapurris, khussas, monogrammed moccasins and so much more!

Soma

What impresses the most about Soma is their vast variety. From sparkly heels and printed khussas to cool flats and bedazzled slides, the brand is on top of the trends!

Episode 9

Though limited to primarily khussas, the brand has excelled in that category! Denim, Ajrak and funky prints have given this traditional footwear a contemporary spin. Plus, these shoes come at an unbelievably affordable price range. Cool printed khussas with jeans? Yes please!

Sulafah

Another new footwear brand that is slowly emerging among the rest. Providing elegant heels, dainty flats and classic pumps the brand’s ethos is quite basic— but one can’t quite do without the basics!
