Sindh is set to start the first phase of the coronavirus vaccination drive from the 3rd of February.

The Government of Sindh has announced that the first phase of the coronavirus vaccination drive will begin within the province from the 3rd of February.

It was also made clear by the Sindh Health Minister, Dr. Azra Pechuho as to how the three phases of the drive will function. The first phase of the vaccination will prioritize the frontline workers all ranging from public and private medical facilities.

In the second phase, people over the age of 60 will be prioritized for the vaccination and in the third and final phase, the general public will be under priority for the vaccination. Sinopharm’s coronavirus vaccine is known to be 90% effective against the virus.

During the third phase, the Health Minister stated that the vaccination centers will have increased across the province’s districts to cater to the needs of the people, she also mentioned that Karachi’s Expo Centre into a coronavirus vaccination center when she visited the venue to review the arrangements being made.
