Day 3 of FPW brought the glitz, glamour, showstopping star stoppers and….. Fawad Khan to everyone’s delight!

Zainab Chottani – Khwahish

A romantic colour palette of beige and gold, Khwahish was a visit to  classical feminine personification of a majestic look with contemporary silhouettes in ivory and gold, peacock blues, traditional reds and deep grey which were befitting color palette for a winter collection with the charming Fahad Mustafa and Mawra Hocane as showstoppers.

Huma Adnan – Darwaish

Huma Adnan took inspiration from the pattern, the prints, the embroidery, the vibrant colors that she sees every day. Her collection was
embellished by jewellery pieces crafted by the female refugees from the Middle East who live in Karachi with pieces that seemed to transition into a soft hued color palette towards the end of the show. Deputy Counsel of USA, Darian Arky stunned the crowd in a dapper black velvet sherwani along with showstopper Noor Khan.

Nauman Arfeen – Uraan

Nauman Arfeen illustrated the story of a man learning to let go of his son as he grows into an adult and is about to get married. Playing with hues of mint green, cream gold and exuberant maroon. The father son duo of Wasim Abbas and Ali Abbas were showstoppers for Nauman Arfeen.

Saba Asad – Limitless

Saba opted to show what she thinks is the glamour of the new generation. What differentiated her collection from others was her signature hand embroidery on different pieces. Shaneira Akram who show stopped for Saba made a fashion statement in an exquisite pastel outfit with sneakers and yoga tights underneath her bridal ensemble.

Shiza Hasan – Talea

Talea gave us a tones of fuchsia, peaches, deep red and multiple shades of garnet and zircon. Voluminous lehengas primarily with hand embroidery and zardosi coupled with 3D embellishments made the collection interesting! The collection, all in all was an ode to modern brides and reflected the beauty of a wonderful day with Wasim Akram as the showstopper in a deep grey embroidered sherwani.

Sadaf Fawad Khan – Adam & Eve

With an increasing trend of couples wanting to coordinate their looks for the big day, everything made, complimented the sets. From pastels to traditional colors which are forever classics, the collection had it all! Hania Amir and Feroze Khan closed the show with her husband Fawad Khan seen sitting in the audience supporting his wife’s latest collection which was much appreciated by the crowd. And…. Us! We think he stole the show if we’re honest!

Ayesha Ibrahim – Ishq e Raag

‘Ishq-e-Raag’ juxtaposed the traditions of the Mughal with dainty details, soft feminine colors and the perfect blend of traditional craft and modern sensibility were the hallmarks of the collection telling stories of the most vivacious brides and depicted the deepest essence of traditional weddings with Sumbul Iqbal as the showstopper.

Deepak Perwani – Shalimar

Deepak Perwani’s collection was inspired by the fabled Shalimar Gardens and the sumptuous elegance of bygone Mughal courts using a modern twist through block and screen printed luxurious fabrics, mirror work, with a touch of peaches and roses. It was an enjoyable finale with models on ramp gifting long stemmed pink roses to select audience members! We love interactions now and then and this seemed to be the perfect moment for one!
