Karachi's signature seasonal bazaar is back.

While Karachi may be lacking in 'seasons', it more than makes up for it in terms of events and just how excited we get with the idea of autumn and winter. Add to that the charm of the spooky season, and we're in for a wholesome mix of experiences.

This Saturday 29th October, Media Republic is hosting it's annual Falloween event. It's taking place at the PACC, Fatima Jinnah Road from 11 am to 9 pm. And there will be lots to do, buy and eat. Entry is free for both kids and adults.

We have picked out what we're looking forward to at Falloween so you can get a head start.

What to Buy

The market primarily showcases small businesses, so you will discover lots of art, crafts and other products that you didn't know were there. And some of them will be offering special discounts, especially for Falloween.

These ones will make for great gifts:

The beautiful handpainted glasswork from Mahnoor's Mirror Magic

Crocheted cuties from Lush Plush

** Handmade crafts and toys from TMugs**

Hand made accessories from Colours

Here's what we're thinking of getting for ourselves:

Delicious jams from L'Amour

All things truck art from Starshine Truckart Gallery

Everything from Ghazal Pirzada Creative Studios

The cutesy notebooks from Kaleidoscopes

What to Do

So it's not just shopping, there's a bunch of events to entertain both the young and the old.

Trick or Treat

All the stalls will have treats (and tricks) for the trick o treaters. Make sure the kids bring bags to carry all their goodies.

The Costume Parade

What's Halloween without dressing up? The costume parade will take place at 2 pm, but you have to register at the event by 1:30 pm for Rs 200. All proceeds will go towards flood relief. There are two categories of prizes based on age - there is 0 to 6 years and then 7 to 12 years.

Horror Story Telling

There are two storytelling sessions, one for kids at 4 pm and one for grown-ups at 8 pm. For the grown-ups session, they're also inviting the rest of us to share our stories too. So if you have one to tell, write it down!

Harrowing Halloween Horror Movie Trivia

Now this is the one we're super excited about. Finally, a chance to showcase our talent. It will begin at 7 pm, and you have to register at the event for Rs 200 by 6:30 pm latest. All proceeds will go to flood relief. But here's the thing, there's cash prizes for the players. Every question you answer correctly gets you Rs 100. We're so down!
